Draft: some details are still being confirmed.

Who is responsible

[Legal name of the operator], [Registered address, Senegal], is responsible for the personal data processed by Jangovia. Contact: [contact email].

What we collect

Account data: your email address, your password (stored hashed by our authentication provider) and the language and display name you choose.

Learning content: the courses, lessons, cards, quiz questions, files and Skills you create or upload, your study history (answers, reviews, scores), your conversations with Boo and the memory Boo keeps, which you can see, edit and delete in Settings.

Usage and billing: which AI model answered and what it cost, your plan and subscription status. Card numbers never reach us; Paddle processes them.

Technical data needed to run the service securely, such as session cookies and request logs.

Why we use it

To provide the service you asked for (contract), to keep it secure and working (legitimate interest), to bill paid plans (contract and legal obligations), and to answer you. We do not sell your data, show ads, or use your content to train AI models.

Who processes it for us

Supabase (database, authentication and file storage), Vercel (hosting), OpenRouter and the AI providers it routes to (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google) when you use Boo, Groq (speech-to-text for dictation), Modal (Anki export) and Paddle (payments). Each processes data only to provide its part of the service. Some are located outside your country, including the United States; transfers rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.

How long we keep it

For as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your content is deleted, except what the law requires us to keep (for example invoices, kept by Paddle).

Your rights

You can access, correct, export and delete your data, object to or restrict some processing, and withdraw consent. Most of this is in Settings; otherwise write to [contact email]. You can also complain to your data protection authority (in Senegal, the CDP; in France, the CNIL).

Children

Jangovia is for people aged 13 and over. If you believe a younger child has an account, write to us and we will delete it.

Cookies

We use only the cookies the service needs: your session and your language. Your device also stores preferences such as the theme and sound settings. There are no advertising cookies.
